Recycling is included free with every Greenway Carting trash subscription — a weekly 18-gallon curbside bin, collected the same day as your trash, no sorting required and no extra charge. We serve unincorporated Mecklenburg, Union, and Gaston County neighborhoods (Indian Trail, Marvin, Matthews, Pineville, Belmont, and select Charlotte-area areas outside city collection). Weekly Curbside Recycling, Included With Your Service
Every Greenway Carting residential account comes with weekly single-stream recycling at no extra charge. You get an 18-gallon recycling bin alongside your 95-gallon trash cart, both collected on the same day each week — one flat rate of $32.50/month covers trash and recycling, with no contracts and no separate recycling fee.
Single-stream means no sorting: paper, cardboard, cans, glass, and accepted plastics all go in the same bin. We serve homes across Mecklenburg, Union, and Gaston County. If you live inside the City of Charlotte, recycling is handled by the city (CharMeck Solid Waste Services); if you're in an unincorporated area or one of the towns we serve, your recycling is included with Greenway. We also serve Charlotte, Indian Trail, Marvin, Matthews, Pineville, and Belmont.
What You Can & Can't Recycle
Greenway Carting recycling is single-stream — everything accepted goes in one bin, no sorting. Please keep the items on the right out of your recycling; they contaminate the load.

How Recycling Works With Greenway
Recycling comes with every residential account at no extra charge. One flat $32.50/month rate covers both your weekly trash and recycling pickup.
When Is My Recycling Picked Up?
Your recycling is collected on the same day as your weekly trash pickup. Greenway Carting only closes for Thanksgiving and Christmas — if your collection day falls on one of those holidays (or the Friday after Thanksgiving), pickup shifts one business day later. See the full holiday schedule.
